MSF BASIC RIDERCOURSE

Students who successfully complete this 18-hour course will receive the DMV Road Test Waiver! This class consists of a 3-hour online eCourse, 5 hours of classroom instruction and 10 hours of practical  training  on  a  motorcycle  or  scooter which includes learning skills such as straight-line riding, stopping, shifting, turning, swerving and emergency braking. We provide everything that you will need to take the course – from motorcycles/scooters to helmets! Students must have a valid NYS Driver’s License and NYS Motorcycle Permit at the time of waiver redemption (permit test may be taken after the course completion). Additionally, be sure to check with your insurance company as you may be eligible for discounts as a result of taking the course.  Learn about the insurance discounts and incentives offered to graduates.

 

Requirements:
Must have valid NYS Driver’s License and Motorcycle Permit (for NY Residents to redeem NYS DMV Road Test Waiver). **Permit test may be taken after course completion, at the time of Road Test Waiver redemption.**
Must be 16 years of age or older (parental permission required for ages 16/17). Junior operators must have had a valid motorcycle learner permit for a minimum of six months before road test waiver can be redeeemed. Must be able to ride a bicycle.
