MSF BASIC RIDERCOURSE

This course is designed for MSF Basic RiderCourse graduates or students with intermediate riding experience.

Yes.

Students must dress in proper riding attire which consists of: over-the-ankle boots, long pants, a long-sleeved shirt or jack and full-fingered gloves. Students can bring their own helmet (must be approved by the Department of Transportation). If your helmet is not full-faced, please be sure to bring protective eye gear. Additionally, students must bring valid identification. In the event of rain, please be sure to bring appropriate rain gear.

Students who borrow a helmet must bring their own bandana or purchase one for $5 from MSS at the time of the lesson. MSS sells gloves, bandanas, rain gear and helmets at all its locations (except at CSI).

Yes. Be sure to bring your rain gear.

Students should check with their insurance provider to see if they are eligible to receive discounted rates upon completion of the Basic RiderCourse 2.

On the range you will practice, quick stops (both on straight lines and curves), swerving and cornering and managing traction.

Yes. There is no additional cost for a passenger, but they must wear proper riding gear. You must be licensed to have a passenger.

Students must cancel or reschedule their course more than 10 days prior to the course start date in order to avoid paying a cancellation or rescheduling fee. Cancellations within 10 days of the course will result in a $60 cancellation fee and rescheduling within a 10 days of the course date will result in a $33 rescheduling fee. No refunds will be provided for cancellations or rescheduling within 24 hours of the start of the course.
