| Do I need my own motorcycle? |
| No, MSS will supply students with motorcycles and DOT approved helmets (if borrowed, students must bring or purchase a bandana). Private lessons are done on a Susuki GZ 250. |
| What do I bring? |
| You must have proper riding gear: over-the-ankle boots, long pants, long sleeved shirt or jacket and full-fingered gloves. Students can bring their own DOT approved helmet or one can be provided (if you bring your own head-bandana or purchase a head-bandana for $5). NOTE: Helmets, gloves and bandanas can be purchased at all locations. IDs will also be checked. If bringing your own helmet that does not offer protection for the face, be sure to bring protective eye wear. In the event of rain, be sure to bring your rain gear or rain gear can be purchased. |

| Do I have to take a lesson before the MSF Basic RiderCourse? |
| No, but we find that students with little or no experience feel less intimidated after a one-on-one lesson. Private Lessons are also HIGHLY recommended to reduce the student's chance of being counseled out of the BRC. If a student is counseled out, they do not receive a refund. |
| |
| When are lessons available? |
| Lessons are throughout the week between the hours of 9am and 7pm. We recommend that you make reservations at least one week in advance. Private lessons are scheduled online, phone, fax, mail or in person at the Brooklyn office only. |
| |
| Where are lessons located? |
| Motorcycle lessons are available at all locations. |
| |
| What will I learn during my lesson? |
| Lessons are based on your knowledge and move at your own pace. Topics covered include motorcycle controls, turning, stopping, and slow speed maneuvering. |
| |
| How many lessons are required to learn how to ride? |
| There is no exact number of lessons it depends on the individual learning curve. We recommend a 3 hour BRC Prep for preparation of the MSF Basic RiderCourse. |
| |
| What is your Cancellation/Late Policy? |
| If the private lesson is during the week, cancellations must occur 24 hours in advance of the start time (if on the weekend, 48 hours notice in advance is needed). Students will forfeit their lesson fee if they fail to cancel within the allotted time or if they don't show up for their lessons. |
